Pete Lansing founded Universal Lending Corporation in Denver in 1981. Under his leadership, the company has helped families throughout Colorado realize their dreams of home ownership for 30 years. Based on his reputation for knowledge and experience in the industry, Mr. Lansing is considered an expert in the field. The local news media frequently refers to him for analysis of current events in mortgage lending, and numerous industry organizations request speaking engagements in order to stay apprised of the mortgage business and their own relationship to his industry. Mr. Lansing served as President of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders’ Association (CMLA) in 1992-1993, and in 2001, he was honored to receive the Entrepreneur of the Year award from the CMLA for his dedication to the industry and for the development of his innovative and well-respected mortgage banking business. Universal Lending’s continued success can be traced to Mr. Lansing’s respect and dedication to his employees, and his encouragement for their personal and career development. He has personally taught "Leadership Development Program’s Mortgage 101" sales training classes, along with numerous other training and classes involving the mortgage lending industry. Beyond the business of the mortgage industry, Mr. Lansing has made it his priority to give back to the community through programs such as the Universal Lending Foundation and Project P.A.V.E. (Preventative Alternatives to Violence through Education). He is involved with Chinese Children Adoption International, having served as Chairman of the Board and currently as a member of the Board of Directors. He is proud to have helped place more than 7,000 Chinese children with families in the United States over the past 15 years, including his own daughter. |
